My 8 month old figured out the twisting motion on day one and now she won't put it down. The clicky handles are easy for her little hands to grab, and I like that there's no batteries or noise I have to listen to all day.
The beads inside the ball make a nice soft rattle that doesn't drive me crazy, and my baby figured out the twisting click pretty fast. The handles are smooth plastic so they wipe clean easily after a diaper bag outing.
My little one grabs this and shakes it nonstop—that bead-filled center ball makes just the right amount of noise without being obnoxious. The handles are soft enough for her to grip and twist on her own, and it keeps her occupied for a good ten minutes at a time.
