The crinkly fabric on the mushroom cap keeps my 9-month-old busy way longer than I expected. She loves pulling the little woodland pieces out and stuffing them back in, and honestly the textures make it a nice change from her plastic toys.

The four woodland characters are the perfect size for my 10-month-old's grip, and he's obsessed with pulling them out and stuffing them back in. The corduroy cap texture on the mushroom is a nice touch too, he keeps rubbing it against his cheek.

My little one can't get enough of stuffing the acorns and leaves into the mushroom's opening and dumping them out again—the different fabric textures keep her hands busy for a solid twenty minutes. It's the kind of quiet, focused play that actually gives me a moment to sip my coffee.
