Named for their velvety soft fabrics, Gummy is part of the Velveteen dinosaur collection. Gummy Stegosaurus measures 16 inches from head to tail. These Velveteen Dinos are weighted, providing extra comfort. Picked as one of the Best Toys from Toy Fair 2020 by Fatherly.
The 16-inch size is bigger than I pictured, and the weighted body makes it surprisingly nice to hold during story time. The velvety fabric has held up through two weeks of constant grabbing without pilling.
The weight distribution is spot on—it settles into your arms like a cozy little anchor without feeling heavy. My kid instantly claimed it for reading time, and the velvety fabric is ridiculously soft against your cheek.
I was a little worried the tail might flop around, but the weighted body keeps Gummy balanced and secure in my arms. The velvety fabric really does live up to its name, and at 16 inches it’s just the right size for curling up with on the couch.
